  26. I assume from your message that the Sportster is an internal modem.  If so,
  27. and you have not disabled Com1, the IRQ4 conflict may be causing the problem.
  28. Should be fairly simple to temporarily disable Com1 and see what happens.  
  29. Also you may wish to try selecting a different IRQ on the modem (jumpers),
  30. and see if you can get that working.
